Former Conservative minister, Nadine Dorries, has defected to the Reform, branding the Tories as "dead".
Dorries, who was once an MP for Mid-Bedfordshire, announced the move during an interview the Daily Mail and said: "The Tory Party is dead. Its members now need to think the unthinkable and look to the future."
On X, formerly known as Twitter , she also said: "The Conservative Party cannot win the next election. It removes election winning prime ministers, and replaces them with duds. Here’s why I’ve joined Reform…"
Dorries is the latest former Tory party member to join Nigel Farage's Reform UK. She joins the likes of former Welsh Secretary David Jones and ex-Tory Chairman Sir Jake Berry.
Dorries spent 18 years in the House of Commons until she stepped down as an MP in 2023. Duri
