Makita is recalling over 60,000 of its cordless grease guns and hoses due to safety concerns.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission reported that the flexible grease gun hose can develop a hole during use, potentially sending grease flying and posing a risk of cuts.

Although five injuries have been reported worldwide, none have occurred in the U.S.

The tools were available at hardware stores nationwide and online from June 2020 to January 2025.

Owners are advised to stop using the grease guns and contact Makita for a free replacement.
