SAUNDERS COUNTY, Neb. —
The Saunders County Sheriff's Office announced K-9 Axel will receive a bullet and stab proof vest.
The body armor was donated by the nonprofit Vested Interest in K-9s, Inc. Krystal Bartek of Wahoo sponsored Axel's vest.

The vest will help protect the K-9 as he serves the community, and it will have “Born to love, trained to serve, loyal always” embroidered on it.
