LINCOLN, R.I. (WPRI) — A motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital after crashing in Lincoln Thursday evening.

Police said the motorcyclist, who has not been identified, hit a guardrail on Old River Road and was thrown from their bike just after 6 p.m.

The motorcyclist was brought to Rhode Island Hospital to be treated for "serious bodily injuries," according to police.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time.
