MARION — Marion Police Department is announcing the first-ever Battle of the Badges Softball Game. The game, with police officers versus fire fighters, will be at 6 p.m. Oct. 11 at Mtn Dew Park. Bragging rights are on the line.

This will be a night of community pride, family fun, and friendly rivalry — all while raising money for local students through the Marion Police Department Scholarship Fund and the Marion Professional Firefighters Local 2977 Scholarship Fund.
