ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Two former managers of a Dairy Queen in Acworth were arrested for allegedly stealing around $44,000 from the store in fraud schemes, according to warrants.

The managers of the restaurant on Cowan Road, identified in arrest warrants as Sherif Mousa and Sherif Awad, are accused of stealing the money between June and October of 2024.

They were arrested last month on several charges, including theft by conversion and multiple counts of forgery.

Awad and Mousa allegedly funneled about $27,000 of Dairy Queen earnings into a personal bank account they owned. Police say they did this by using a personal electronic terminal.
