SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Pathways Foundation, a local non-profit founded by Springfield native Malar Patel, is empowering youth through a two-day basketball clinic at the Basketball Hall of Fame.

The clinic, named 'Hall of Hope,' features over 100 high school students from Chicopee and Springfield, providing them with real-world experience and skills development.

"People across this city in Springfield, in Chicopee, that invested in me, that believed in me, that showed me that there was stuff outside my circumstances," said Malar Patel, founder of The Pathways Foundation.

The event includes learning opportunities in financial literacy, career paths, pitch preparation, soft skills development, and networking, with guidance from legends like former NBA star Travis Best.
