WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Two men were arrested in West Springfield for possession of cocaine and fentanyl after officers found them asleep in a car with drug paraphernalia in plain view.

The West Springfield Police Department states that on Wednesday at 6:40 p.m., officers were sent to the parking lot of a business at 1268 Riverdale Street for a report of two people passed out in a vehicle.

When officers arrived, they located a Ford Escape with Vermont tags with the engine running and two people slumped over but breathing. One of the officers reached through the open window of the vehicle to turn off the engine and pulled the driver to an upright position.
