People living in Hamilton's Ward 8 have an abundance of options when it comes to choosing their new representative on city council. A long list of 26 candidates will contest the election to be held Sept. 22, a record for the most people running in a single ward, according to the city.
The new councillor will replace John-Paul Danko, who held the riding since 2018 but was elected as a member of Parliament in the spring federal election.
