INDIANAPOLIS — The team popularity and economic power of the Indiana Fever has exploded since Caitlin Clark arrived in Indianapolis last year. The growth of the women's game has now led to the team getting its own downtown training facility, built specifically for the needs of women.
City leaders and team officials turned dirt at Thursday’s groundbreaking for the Indiana Fever Sports Performance Center . Then the Fever players and coaches took a turn in front of the cameras lifting ceremonial shovels.
The center will be located at 30 S. Alabama St. on the former site of the Marion County Jail.
