A man walking his dog stumbled upon what appears to be wreckage from January’s deadly helicopter-commercial airplane crash on the banks of the Potomac River over the weekend.

Andrew Guevara was walking his pup on the Mount Vernon Trail in Alexandria, Va., when he spied a strange-looking object sticking out amid other detritus littering the banks, he told Fox 5 DC.

“I noticed that there was something. It just looked a little bit odd, but there’s a lot of trash that’s always along the river,” the dog-dad told the outlet. 4

“But there just seemed to be something noticeable about it. There happened to be like a lever that would -– it looked like for the tray table, like you would see on a plane,” Guevara added.
