BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Birmingham Police are investigating a homicide after they say someone shot and killed a man through his bedroom window Wednesday night.

According to police, officers responded to a person shot call in the 200 block of Meadowdale Avenue at around 9:27 p.m. They found the victim, 22-year-old Terek Harris, of Birmingham, unresponsive in a back bedroom of the residence.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue pronounced Harris dead on the scene.

Investigators believe Harris was in his bedroom when the suspect, currently unknown, fired multiple rounds through his bedroom window.

Officials say no one else in the home was injured.

Police currently have no one in custody.
