BEAUMONT, Texas — A man who died early Friday morning after his pickup truck ran a red light and collided with a semi-trailer at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 365 and U.S. Highway 90 in Nome has been identified as Charles Moak, 60, of Groves.
The fatal wreck happened at approximately 4:19 a.m. when a Ford F-150 traveling north on Highway 365 disregarded a red traffic light and struck the left side of a westbound truck tractor semi-trailer on Highway 90, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Moak, the driver of the Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene by a Jefferson County Justice of the Peace, DPS troopers said. The victim's identity was released after officials notified the next of kin.
