Basement becomes ‘sophisticated man cave’
For a Mississauga family, the basement of their 1960s backsplit has always been a well-loved gathering spot but about 20 years after it was last renovated, it underwent a welcome transformation.
“When the children were young, it hosted game nights and rounds of hide-and-seek. As the boys grew into teenagers, it became a hangout for video games. In their young adult years, it transitioned into a home workout space,” says Sarah Bilicki, principal interior designer of Sarah Elizabeth Design + Interiors, which serves the Greater Toronto Area.
