Two Atlantic City men admitted Thursday their roles in a fatal 2022 shooting, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.

Fuquan Moore and Oquan Thomas, both 21, pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in the death of 27-year-old Timothy Council Jr.

Moore faces up to 15 years in prison, while Thomas faces 16 to 18 years. Both men are scheduled to be sentencing Oct. 23 before Superior Court Judge Pamela D'Arcy.

The men must complete 85% of their sentences before becoming parole eligible.

Officers responded to Absecon Boulevard Dec. 5, 2022 and located Council Jr. outside the High Gate apartment complex suffering from a gunshot wound, the Prosecutor's Office said. He was transported to an area hospital and pronounced dead.
