EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says a man was arrested Saturday night after he drove drunk through construction on Evansville’s westside.
Officials say 48-year-old Albert Spencer was seen west of University Parkway on SR 62 hitting several construction cones with one stuck under his truck.
They say Spencer continued driving before he was found by a deputy on the shoulder of the University Parkway just south of Upper Mount Vernon Road.
Deputies say Spencer showed signs of being drunk with slurred speech, watery eyes and a strong smell of alcohol coming from him.
They say he registered a .211 BAC with a breath test on the scene.
Spencer’s license was also expired.
He has been charged with driving while intoxicated, endangering, driving with a BAC of .
