SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The San Angelo Police Department and San Angelo Fire Department are scheduled to hold a memorial ceremony to remember the first responders and fallen of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
The City of San Angelo reported that the ceremony, which is free and open to the public, is set to occur at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, at the City's 9/11 monument. The City stated that, during the ceremony, "the San Angelo fire and police departments will host a ceremony honoring the heroes and fallen of September 11, 2001."
The City's 9/11 monument can be found near Celebration Bridge along the Concho River, adjacent to the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts located at 1 Love St.
