(FOX40.COM) — Fire crews have reached 22% containment on the September Lightning Complex Fire, Cal Fire said Friday morning.
The complex fire is made up of different fires across Calaveras County, Tuolumne County, San Joaquin County and Stanislaus County that began Tuesday following a number of lightning strikes.
Cal Fire estimates that the fire has burned at least 13,966 acres, including parts of historic Chinese Camp, as of Friday morning.
Evacuation orders remain in effect for parts of the area affected by the fires: • 6-5 Fire Chinese Camp Town Six Bit Ranch Road Six Bit Gulch Road Red Hill Road J-59 to Old Don Pedro Road Don Pedro Dam Road Old Don Pedro Dam Road Menkee Hess Road Both sides of Highway 120 from Chinese Camp to the Highway 120 Bridge Rojo Shawmut Road All Roads east
