(FOX40.COM) — After a man was arrested for an incident earlier this year, the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office announced on Friday that he is the suspect linked to multiple sexual assaults across the Sacramento region.

On July 3, 25-year-old Bernarnino Vazquez was arrested by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office for an incident involving the discharge of a shotgun. Officials said that the day after the arrest, the Sacramento Police Department filed additional charges after the suspect was identified in a photo lineup for allegedly assaulting a massage therapist.

During an interview with San Joaquin County detectives, Vazquez confessed to multiple sexual assaults across Thornton, Isleton, Elk Grove, Stockton
