CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The driver who struck two Cleveland Water Department employees while they were repairing a water main break, pleaded guilty in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.
Lorenzo Martin pleaded guilty to two counts of vehicular assault and one count of failure to stop after an accident.
Martin will be sentenced on Oct. 21.
The accident happened around 2 a.m. on Feb. 13 at S. Miles Road and Langly Avenue in the city’s Lee Seville neighborhood.
Cleveland police said Martin, of Maple Heights, drove into a coned off work-zone, struck both men, and then fled the scene.
With the assistance of the Real Time Crime Center, Cleveland police officers located Martin in Maple Heights less than an hour after the crash and took him in custody.
