KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Two people were injured in a crash when a driver blew past a stop sign and hit another vehicle in northern Kent County.

The crash happened in the intersection of Myers Lake Avenue NE and 18 Mile Road around 7 a.m. Friday.

Sgt. Scott Dietrich with the Kent County Sheriff's Office said a southbound sedan ran the stop sign and hit a westbound sedan, sending it into a ditch.

The driver of the southbound vehicle was ejected, Dietrich said. They sustained serious injuries.

The other driver sustained "minor to moderate" injuries.
