A Leicestershire Police officer allegedly mishandled sensitive force information. Pc Sheena Manek has been accused of downloading police files from her work laptop onto an unauthorised USB stick in January of this year.
The files are said to have contained “ personal information”, as well as “sensitive police information”. Ms Manek, who has since left the force, had “no policing purpose” for her actions, Leicestershire Police has claimed.
She now faces a gross misconduct hearing to answer to the accusations. If proven, Leicestershire Police said the actions would constitute a breach of its standards of professional behaviour.
