Dealership gives back to local breast care center

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - A local car dealership made a donation while honoring one of its employees.

Greenwood Chevrolet in Austintown presented $5,000 to the Mercy Health Foundation for the Joanie Abdu Breast Care Center on Friday. Dr. Rashid Abdu fulfilled a promise to his wife, Joanie, that no woman in the Mahoning Valley facing the disease would ever be without specialized care.

The donation allows the organization to expand the Joanie Abdu Breast Care Center's reach in the Valley, support its programs, equipment and patients. Most importantly, the money helps fund what's called "Joanie's Promise."
