Lucas County Canine Care & Control will be closed Sept. 29 to Oct. 3 while it moves to its new facility and will also be accepting applications to replace LC4’s director, Dave Blyth.

Mr. Blyth was hired in February and took the helm as chief dog warden March 5, alongside deputy director Terra Bundy, who will step in as the interim director while the county commissioners seek Mr. Blyth’s replacement.

“My plan was always for this to be a temporary position,” Mr. Blyth said. “I wanted to help the department stabilize after what had been a challenging period and chart the course for a successful future of LC4. I believe I have achieved that.”
