SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) -- A Spartanburg County man was placed under arrest for reportedly stealing lottery tickets from his place of employment.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged 20-year-old Luke Michael Nickles, of Boiling Springs, with intent to defraud and counterfeit lottery/game tickets on Wednesday, September 3.
The charges against Nickles were initiated following a request from the South Carolina Education Lottery, which prompted SLED to investigate the matter.
According to the arrest warrant, from August 9 through 11, Nickles unlawfully passed a quantity of lottery scratch-off tickets with the intent to defraud at a Spinx in Boiling Springs, where the individual was employed.
