BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — An investigation into a reported stabbing led to the arrest of a woman on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
Shawniqueca Rogers, 46, of Baton Rouge, was charged with resisting an officer, attempted second-degree murder, and resisting a police officer with force or violence.
The Baton Rouge Police Department was called to a home on Conrad Drive around 5:20 p.m.
When police arrived, Rogers was handcuffed and another woman was found to have a cut close to her chin. EMS was then called to the scene.
The woman who was injured stated that Rogers had been living at the home for six months. At some point, the victim was on the phone in the home when Rogers entered and threw a beer at her. She suspected that the Baton Rouge woman "thought the phone conversation was about her
