A multi-million redevelopment of a popular Aberdeenshire attraction is progressing after reaching a major milestone.

The extension of Macduff Marine Aquarium is beginning to take shape following the completion of the steelworks installation last month.

The impressive framework provides the structure for the new two-storey extension at the front of the popular attraction, which will house the main entrance, retail area, new learning room and upstairs café/restaurant, as well as the Changing Places toilet.

Contractor Ogilvie Construction took just three weeks to install 61 tonnes of steelworks fabricated by KR Group following the pouring of 180 tonnes of concrete to create a new surface for the extension.
