A longtime radio host and DJ has signed off after his Upstate New York radio station changed its format.

The Democrat & Chronicle reports Brother Wease abruptly exited Radio 95.1 (WAIO-FM), known as Rochester’s Real Talk, on Thursday. He said he was leaving the iHeartMedia station because they were rebranding to a rock format, now known as ROCK 95.1, “Rochester’s Real Rock.”

Wease, whose real name is Alan Levin, told listeners that he was offered a chance to continue doing a music-focused show on weekends but opted to leave instead. He also said he turned down an offer for a two-hour Sunday night talk show on 1180 WHAM.
