GREENWOOD, S.C. (WSPA) -- An Upstate man is facing several charges in relation to a child sex crime investigation.

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of 44-year-old Daniel Scott Brothers, of Greenwood, on eight charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor.

The arrest was made by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators from the Greenwood County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Attorney General's Office and Homeland Security Investigations.

Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), which led them to Brothers. According to investigators, Brothers distributed and possessed files of child sexual abuse material.
