ROCHESTER, Minn. — The City of Rochester is inviting artists with ties to Rochester or Olmsted County to contribute to the 6th Street Bridge, Neighborhood Safety, and Riverfront Improvements Project.

This initiative aims to construct a new bridge over the Zumbro River, focusing on safety, accessibility, and community connection.

The project will feature dedicated spaces for pedestrians and cyclists, shaded seating areas, and panoramic views of the river and city skyline. A significant aspect of the bridge's design is the inclusion of public art, with up to 14 large-scale metal panels integrated into the shade structure. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme "The Future of Rochester" through abstract designs.
