WILLIAMSPORT — The estate of a Dauphin County Prison inmate wants the former healthcare provider at the facility to remain in its federal lawsuit over the 2019 death.

Carmen Riley and Thomas Matthews, the parents of Ty’ique Riley, asked U.S. Middle District Judge Matthew W. Brann on Wednesday to deny the motion of PrimeCare Medical Inc. to be removed from the case.

PrimeCare, which has been replaced as the healthcare provider at the prison, contends Brann no longer has jurisdiction because only a state law medical negligence claim remains against it.
