NORMAN — Desmond Howard had a rough go of it the last time he was in Oklahoma.
The former Michigan Heisman Trophy winner turned ESPN analyst was dealing with a sciatic nerve issue in his back when College GameDay came to OU-Tennessee last October.
“They called it my ‘flu game,’” Howard said. “I was drugged up. I don’t even remember who (OU) played last year when I was here bro, I ain’t gonna lie to you. Horrible experience for me. … I was just trying to get through the (expletive) show.”
Howard’s doing fine now, though, as College GameDay returns to town for the Sooners’ matchup with Michigan at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. He and the GameDay crew will go live from OU’s South Oval at 8 a.m. Saturday to preview the day’s slate of games.
