You could phrase it in either of two ways.

The University of Tulsa won an opening-night football game but did it against a lower-division team — an FCS team.

Or, the University of Tulsa won a football game on opening night and did it against an FCS team — Abilene Christian — that has 22 players whose college careers began with Power Four programs.

Abilene Christian nearly beat Texas Tech last season and currently may have as many Power Four recruits as are on the Golden Hurricane roster.
