NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Louisiana National Guard federally mobilized select soldiers and airmen to support U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at several locations across the state beginning August 25, 2025.

The troops are operating under Title 32 status, which means they remain under the command of Gov. Jeff Landry and Maj. Gen. Thomas C. Friloux, the state’s adjutant general.
About 95 troops are assisting ICE authorities with administrative, clerical and logistical duties.

“When the State of Louisiana and the United States of America needs us, we act,” Friloux said. “Th
