LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) -The American Cornhole Organization tournament honors the popular lawn game by having participants from around the nation compete for the title of cornhole champion.
“We’ve been doing cornhole for 20 years,” said President Frank Geers. “We started this organization to take cornhole to the sport level. It was a backyard game, and we made it a sport. We’ve got around 150 competitive people coming in from all over the country. I think we have 13 or 14 states that will be represented this weekend.”
One of the competitors taught us a thing or two about how to toss cornhole on a competitive level.
“I throw what’s called a butterfly grip,” said competitor Kim Jackson. “So, it’s basically you put it in your hand and grip it. Kind of get all the beads down at the bottom
