CONEY ISLAND — When Hon. Matthew D’Emic, administrative judge for criminal matters, Kings County Supreme Court, gives a Continuing Legal Education presentation, it tends to be anything but typical. And that was certainly the case at his most recent lecture hosted by the Columbian Lawyers Association of Brooklyn at Gargiulo’s the evening of Sept. 3.
The topic, “The Ultimate Professional Legal Ethic: Faithfulness to Daily Duty,” applies to lawyers on a daily basis, but also to everybody in their everyday lives, D’Emic told the Brooklyn Eagle.
“I would say that faithfulness to daily duty is really the foundation of personal progress — collective progress,” D’Emic underscored. “I’m not saying it’s flashy or wins applause, but it’s the steady commitment to the small, everyday necessary tasks
