SOUTHWEST BROOKLYN — DISTRICT LEADERSHIP TEAMS must operate under Open Meeting Law requirements, says City Councilmember Susan Zhuang, D-43, in response to an incident earlier this year in which parents of Public School 176 in Dyker Heights allege that asbestos and other unsafe conditions were not disclosed. Zhuang is sponsoring Council Resolution 1019-2025, which urges the state legislature to pass Senate bill 3065/Assembly bill 512 to mandate the Open Meeting Law for these teams.
