PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Island FC is gearing up to face league leaders Louisville City FC at home this weekend.

Saturday is Rhode Island FC’s Kids Night, which will give young fans a chance to get on the field and be closer to the action.

The game will feature kid-created videoboard graphic animations, a 10-year-old singer performing the national anthem, and a "first-of-its-kind halftime kids game," which the club says has never been done before in North America.

The match kicks off at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on NESN+.

Rhode Island has put together one of the best defenses in the league over the last month, but Louisville will be one of its most difficult opponents so far this season.
