The Milwaukee Brewers embark on their penultimate road trip of the season, a six-game journey with the first three coming against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sept. 5-7 at PNC Park.
The Brewers, who have 21 games left in the regular season, are coming off a series loss to the Philadelphia Phillies thanks to a 2-0 loss in the finale on Sept. 4 . That left the Brewers (86-55) with a 4 ½ game lead over the Phillies for the best record in the National League and a 5 ½ lead over the Chicago Cubs in the Central Division.
Christian Yelich, who was a late scratch from the lineup on Sept. 3 with lower back soreness and was given another day off Sept. 4, is expected to return for the start of the Pirates series .
