ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The City of Asheville and the Asheville Police Department reports Police Chief Mike Lamb has announced his intention to retire by the end of the year.

The City of Asheville gave the following statement:

The Asheville Police Department said an official date for Chief Lamb’s retirement will be announced once it is determined.
