PORTLAND, Maine — Maine State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 29-year-old woman and her 4-year-old son who were last seen Friday in Portland.

Morgan Geyer and her son, Logan Simard, were spotted around noon Friday at the McDonald’s on St. John Street, police said in a social media post . Authorities believe they may still be in the Portland area.

The mother and child are from southern Maine, and police are trying to confirm their well-being, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss told NEWS CENTER Maine.

Moss also confirmed that there is no danger to the public.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact the Maine State Police Southern Field Troop at 207-624-7076, ext. 9.
