TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Tucson Police Department has arrested a suspect connected to the murder of 15-year-old Daydrian Brown. This arrest marks a significant development in the case.

TPD confirmed the arrest of Katraun Devon McLendon, 20, in connection with Brown's murder. McLendon appeared virtually before a judge for his initial appearance, facing a charge of first-degree murder.

Brown was shot and killed in the early morning hours of July 6 at a house party, an incident witnessed by several attendees and captured on video. The video has not been publicly released.

Daydrian's mother, Dahlia Brown , shared her perspective on her son's involvement.

“It’s not like I had trouble with my son and oh I need to get him out of this lifestyle, I had no trouble with my son,” said Dahlia B
