Manchester United star Patrick Dorgu has admitted he was ‘shocked’ by the club’s decision to offload Rasmus Hojlund this summer.
Hojlund endured a disastrous second season at Old Trafford last term, scoring just four Premier League goals as United slumped to a dismal 15th place finish.
With only Everton and the three relegated clubs scoring less than them during the 2024-25 campaign, United spent £200million rebuilding their attack, signing Benjamin Sesko for £74m.
While the Denmark international was eager to stay in Manchester and fight for his place, a loan move to Napoli with an obligation to buy was agreed in the final week of the summer transfer window.
Dorgu joined his countrymen Hojlund and Christian Eriksen at Old Trafford in January.
