OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A Hancock, Iowa, man was arrested and booked for felony criminal conduct after he allegedly dumped hundreds of tires in county road ditches in Shelby County.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Wesley Fischer. He also faces a felony count of first-degree criminal mischief.

“These warrants were issued after an ongoing investigation over the last several months of tires being dumped in county road ditches in Shelby County,” the statement reads.

Shelby County Roads Department cleaned up the tires from the ditches, which cost about $24,000.

As of Friday, Fischer has posted $35,000 bond, and his next court appearance date has not yet been scheduled.
