TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Zoo is celebrating its 125th anniversary this fall with a three-day international symposium highlighting global conservation work and the zoo’s role in protecting wildlife.
The “125 Years of Impact” symposium is scheduled for Oct. 21-23 at the zoo’s Malawi Event Center. The event is free and open to the public, with RSVPs encouraged due to limited seating.
Organizers say the symposium will feature scientists, educators and conservation leaders from around the world. Presentations will cover local and international efforts, from endangered species recovery programs to education initiatives and community engagement projects.
