TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) — State lawmakers are now gearing up to return to Tallahassee to debate the popular property tax issue in a matter of weeks.
House members will return to the Capitol on September 22 and 23 to revisit the continued debate on property taxes, as Gov. Ron DeSantis and Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia push for a proposed constitutional amendment. "My advice is be aggressive, be as aggressive as possible," said Ingoglia.
That's the direction the CFO wants lawmakers to go when taking up the property tax issue.
Ingoglia says local governments have more than enough room to cut out waste, accusing them of spending tax dollars in unnecessary ways.
