PHOENIX — An overheated hiker was rescued from Camelback Mountain Friday morning, according to authorities.
The Phoenix Fire Department said crews were called out to Echo Canyon Trailhead at 10:15 a.m. to help the woman.
Crews found the woman three-quarters of the way up the trail. The woman told firefighters she felt dizzy and couldn’t make her way back down the trail.
The fire department decided to airlift the woman off the mountain using the Phoenix Police Department helicopter, Firebird 10.
The woman refused to be transported to the hospital once she was down from the trail.
