PHOENIX — A 20-year-old ASU student is not taking “no” for an answer after she was turned down by Arizona’s largest utility to personally meet with its CEO.
Shaela Patel of the AZ Youth Climate Coalition joined protestors Thursday morning at APS headquarters in Phoenix after last month’s decision by APS to downgrade its pollution commitments.
“They need to hear from the youth,” Patel said. “They need to have us and the communities that they're impacting inside their heads when they're making all these big decisions to pollute the future.”
