TRENTON -- Visiting Acadia National Park is about to be easier for tourists and locals alike thanks to a brand-new, over $27 million facility.

The newly opened Acadia National Park Gateway Center serves as an information booth, as well as a space where park patrons can get their passes, find parking, browse retail options and more.

"Acadia National Park is the seventh most visited national park in the nation and we are hoping that people come here, get more information about the park, get their park passes, get more information about Downeast Maine, learn all of the things that are great to do around here," explained park superintendent Kevin Schneider..
