SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (NewsNation) — A large fire broke out early Friday morning at a baseball stadium home to minor league team the Spokane Indians.
“The main concession stand at Avista Stadium caught fire in the early morning hours of Friday, September 5th,” a statement from the team said. “No one was injured and the fire is contained to the main concession stand. Our many thanks to the City of Spokane Valley and City of Spokane firefighters who have been on scene since early this morning.”
While the stand is considered a complete loss, KREM-TV reports that Otto Klein, an Indians senior vice president, said they hope to have it rebuilt before the start of next season.
